Returns
Fourteen days to change your mind on printed books. Damaged copies are replaced.
[Draft — needs the client's lawyer]
Written from how the shop actually works and from UK consumer law, but it is a legal document: the company details in square brackets must be filled in and the whole text signed off before launch.
Changing your mind
You may cancel an order of printed books within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason, and return it for a refund. You do not have to give a reason.
To cancel, write to [ADD SUPPORT EMAIL] with your order number. You then have a further 14 days to send the books back.
Books must come back in a condition fit for resale. Return postage is paid by you unless the book was damaged or was not what you ordered.
Damaged or wrong books
If a book arrives damaged, or is not the book you ordered, write to [ADD SUPPORT EMAIL] within a reasonable time with your order number and a photograph. We will send a replacement or refund you in full, including postage, and you will not be asked to pay to send the item back.
Refunds
Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of the returned books reaching us, or of our agreeing to a refund where nothing needs to be returned.
The refund covers the price of the books and the standard delivery charge you originally paid. Where you chose a faster delivery service than our standard one, the difference is not refunded.
Digital editions
Because a downloaded file cannot be returned, the right to cancel does not apply to eBooks and audiobooks once the download has started. You confirm this at checkout.
If a file will not open or is faulty, write to [ADD SUPPORT EMAIL] and we will replace it or refund you.
Your statutory rights
Nothing here reduces your legal rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
